Chairman's Message

In times of rapid developments in the world economy and intensive international competition, the Wine Products Council, soon after its legislative reform, has intensified its efforts to promote and safeguard the interests of the wine sector in Cyprus by drawing on the opportunities of E.U membership and utilising its active presence in the decision making process in Brussels.

The Cyprus Wine Competition is considered to be among our most important wine events, seen by many as a turning point of a new era of Cyprus wine. Throughout the years, the competition came to be a genuine celebration of the newest achievements of local wine makers and a means of challenge for pursuing quality and recognition.

With respect to those who devote their lives in mastering the art of vine cultivation and wine making, we have drawn and implemented a range of support schemes. We devised constructive means of utilising every opportunity available. We worked hard to achieve the best outcomes and we will continue in the same pace. Our mission is to work even more intensively and constructively in the years ahead.
